AI recruitment market size: the published estimates, side by side
The global AI recruitment market was worth about $596 million to $708 million in 2025, according to the 6 research firms that publish a figure for that year, and they expect it to grow 6.8% to 8.05% a year. Estimates in the billions ($6.3B to $9.49B for 2026) measure AI across all of HR, not hiring alone.
We read 16 report pages from 13 research firms on October 13, 2026 and copied each figure as the firm publishes it. Every one is a modeled estimate: the firms sell their workings, so none can be checked line by line, and no audited total for this market exists. How we label confidence

The estimates, grouped by what they count
Each figure is copied from the firm's own report page on October 13, 2026, in US dollars, in the unit and for the year the firm gives it. A firm's name links to the page we read; firms revise these pages, so the linked page is the current word.
AI recruitment market
Software and services sold specifically to hire people with AI: sourcing, screening, matching, chatbots, interview scheduling and assessment. The narrowest definition, and the one most reports use.

Why the numbers differ
The firms that agree most closely are the ones that count the same narrow thing. The large gaps come from what is counted, which edition is quoted and, sometimes, the unit.
Recruitment is not HR
An "AI in HR" figure counts AI in payroll, learning, engagement and analytics as well as hiring. Grand View Research puts that market at $6.3B for 2026 and Precedence Research at $9.49B: 8 to 15 times the AI recruitment estimates for the same year. A sentence that sizes "AI in recruiting" in the billions is often quoting an HR-wide report.
One firm, three markets
Market.us sells 3 reports on what a reader would call the same market. For 2023 they size it at $644.3M (AI in Hiring), $0.8B (AI in Recruitment) and $0.9B (AI in Talent Acquisition), and by 2033 at $1,232.3M, $2.6B and $3.7B. The name of the market tells you little; the list of what the report counts tells you everything.
Editions change in place
Firms revise a report at the same address, and old editions stay online. Facts & Factors sized the market at $610.3M for 2021; Mordor Intelligence sizes it at $596.16M for 2025, 4 years later and lower. Those are two models, not one market shrinking. Pages here that show a revision date: Market Research Future (September 15, 2026) and Precedence Research (September 11, 2026). A figure without its edition date cannot be checked.
Millions become billions
The narrow market is measured in hundreds of millions of dollars. Copied from roundup to roundup, the unit sometimes changes: one widely read list gives the 2023 market as $590.50 billion and, two lines later, its 2030 forecast as $942.3 million.
A reality check from disclosed figures
Estimates are models. Disclosures are not. Microsoft told investors that LinkedIn's agentic hiring products are on track for about $450M in annual sales. That one product line equals 60% to 70% of the whole 2026 market as the 4 firms with a 2026 figure size it ($641 million to $752 million). Workday valued its purchase of a single AI recruiting vendor, Paradox, at $1.1B: 1.6 to 1.8 times what the 6 firms with a 2025 figure say the entire market was worth that year.
Our reading: either one vendor holds most of the market, or the narrow estimates count standalone AI recruiting products and leave out AI sold inside larger recruiting and HR suites, where much of the spending sits. We think it is the second. Treat the narrow figure as a floor for standalone AI recruiting software, not as total spending on AI in hiring. That is our inference from disclosed figures, not a published market size.
LinkedIn agentic talent products annual sales
Microsoft disclosed LinkedIn's agentic Talent Solutions products are on track for about $450M in annual sales, proving real revenue behind recruiting AI.
Workday acquisition of Paradox
Workday valued its acquisition of conversational-AI recruiter Paradox at $1.1 billion in its quarterly filing, $1.0 billion in cash plus a $20 million stake it already held, the largest disclosed price in AI candidate screening.
Reported at roughly $1B when announced in August 2025
AI-in-HR market size
Grand View Research estimates the broader AI-in-HR market, which counts AI across every HR function and not hiring alone, at $6.3 billion for 2026, the scale that makes vendor liability a systemic rather than isolated concern.
on a 24.8% CAGR from a 2023 base of $3.25B to $15.24B by 2030
How to cite a market size
Name the firm and the market it names
Write "the AI recruitment market, as Mordor Intelligence defines it", never "the market is worth". Two firms using the same words are rarely counting the same things.
Give the year the figure is for
A 2023 base year and a 2026 estimate from the same report differ by half. State which one you are quoting, and whether it is an estimate for a past year or a forecast.
Give the date you read it
Report pages are revised without notice. The date you read the page is the only way a reader can tell which edition you saw.
Call it an estimate, and show the range
No audited total exists for this market. Quote the range across firms, or one named estimate, and say that it is modeled.
Questions people ask
How big is the AI recruitment market?
About $596 million to $708 million worldwide in 2025, with a midpoint near $671 million. That is the spread across the 6 research firms that publish a 2025 figure, from Mordor Intelligence at the low end to Research Nester at the high end; for 2026 the published estimates run from $641 million to $752 million. All are modeled estimates of spending on AI software and services sold for hiring, not audited revenue.
How fast is the AI recruitment market growing?
Between 6.8% and 8.05% a year, across the 7 firms that publish a growth rate for the narrow market. Their forecasts end between $921 million in 2031 and $1.4 billion in 2035. Growth rates of 15.94% to 24.8% a year belong to the broader AI in HR market, not to recruitment software alone.
How big is the US AI recruitment market?
Market Research Future, the one firm here that publishes a US figure, puts it at $168.36M in 2025, about 26% of its global estimate, growing 6.92% a year to $328.73M by 2035. North America as a whole takes 38.4% to 41.62% of the global market in the estimates that publish a regional share.
What is the difference between the AI recruitment market and the AI in HR market?
Scope. The AI recruitment market counts tools sold to hire people. The AI in HR market counts AI across all of HR software, including payroll, learning, engagement and workforce analytics, so it is several times larger: Grand View Research estimates $6.3B for 2026 and Precedence Research $9.49B, against $641 million to $752 million for AI recruitment in the same year.
Is the AI recruitment market worth $590 billion?
No. A figure of $590.50 billion for 2023 appears in a widely read statistics roundup, but it is a unit error: the same list gives the 2030 forecast as $942.3 million. The highest 2025 estimate read for this page is $707.52M (Research Nester), and even the widest AI in HR estimate is $9.49B for 2026.
How big is the AI interview software market?
There is no agreed figure. Wise Guy Reports sizes it at $1,281.2M for 2025, which is more than any firm's estimate for the whole AI recruitment market that year, and Lucintel forecasts $59.8B by 2031, which at its own growth rate implies about $16.2 billion for 2025 (our arithmetic), about 13 times as much. An AI interview market size should never be quoted without the firm's name and its definition.
Which AI recruitment market size should I cite?
Cite one named estimate or the range across firms, with the firm, the market as that firm defines it, the year the figure is for and the date you read the page, and call it an estimate. Do not average estimates that count different things, and do not mix an AI in HR figure into a sentence about recruiting.
