AI recruiting startups: every 2026 funding round, tracked
AI recruiting startups announced at least $403M of funding between January 1 and October 29, 2026, in 36 rounds with a disclosed amount, by our count of 40 rounds at 40 companies. The largest were Juicebox ($80M) and Metaview ($60M), then Paraform and Jack & Jill ($40M each); those four took 55% of that money. Expert networks that hire people for AI labs raised another $148M, shown apart.
We list a round only when the company, a press wire or a named news outlet announced it on a page we opened, and every row links to that page. So the total is a floor: a round nobody announced, or one we did not find, is not in it. What counts

Against the wider market
Venero Capital Advisors counted $5.9B invested across 221 funding rounds in WorkTech, its term for HR and work technology, in Q3 2026, and found that AI-native companies raised 79% of it. Venero Capital Advisors, October 6, 2026
The AI recruiting rounds in our list for the same quarter come to $132M in 9 rounds, about 2.2% of that total (our arithmetic). The two counts are built differently, so read the share as an order of magnitude: hiring is a small slice of the money now going into work software.
What counts, and what does not
- AI recruiting startup: a young company whose main product finds, screens, interviews, assesses or matches people for jobs or paid work, with AI doing part of that work. Payroll, HR systems, employer-of-record services, learning platforms and acquisitions are left out.
- A round: equity or convertible funding the company announced between January 1 and October 29, 2026, dated by its announcement. Extensions count as their own round. Loans, grants and secondary sales are left out.
- The source: the company's own announcement, a press release on a wire, or a named news outlet, opened by us. Not funding databases or machine-written roundups, which repeat each other's errors.
- Currency: a round announced in euros, pounds or another currency is converted at the European Central Bank reference rate for the announcement day.
- Amounts we do not count: where an announced figure mixes equity with loans, or is a running total that includes earlier rounds, the round is listed and its amount left out of the total. A round reported by a news outlet from unnamed sources, not announced by the company, says so in its row.
- Shown apart: expert networks that vet and hire people for AI labs. They run AI hiring at scale, but their customers are AI labs rather than employers filling jobs, and a single round of theirs would outweigh the rest of the list.
- Checked and left out: Firstwork (automates onboarding and compliance after the offer, not finding or screening people); Kombo (an integration API between HR systems); Bolto (sells recruiting inside a payroll and HR suite); Chromie Health (fills shifts from a hospital's own staff rather than hiring); AfterQuery and Snorkel AI (sell AI training data rather than placing people in work); Factrika, Tancee and urfuture (their announcements describe matching without AI doing the work); Mercor (reported in talks for a new round, with none announced in the window).
- Updates: we add rounds as they are announced and move the date at the top when we do. A company that thinks its round belongs here can write to us with the announcement.
How to cite this tally
Cite the tally with its date, since it grows as rounds are announced, and cite a single round to the announcement linked in its row.
